Unusual period. Really worried. Please help!? |
AF came on 3/16/08. I had a blood test scheduled for 3/17/08, so I decided to keep it. AF was mostly brown, almost black, with clots (sorry if TMI, but I need to be clear) and I wanted to be SURE. Anyway, the nurse said there was no sense taking the test if I started my period. She asked if it was heavy and I told her it was (because it was THAT day), and she suggested just going ahead and getting my MMR shot (which I need because I am not immune and cannot begin IUI process without it). My regular periods are normally VERY heavy and bright red for the first two days and then medium to light for two or three more days. What could cause this really weird period if I'm not pregnant? Hi Heather, I think maybe you had a chemical pregnancy, but I might be wrong. I would check with your GYN just to be sure. your chart shows a drop in temp which means a drop in progesterone. Hi!! I don't think you are pregnant because your temps dropped so low below the coverline. However I can't believe the nurse didn't do the bloodtest as scheduled since she knows you are ttc and that the MMR vaccine could cause harm to a baby. That was not a good idea. Also did she refer this to your doctor before proceeding with her own treatment plan? If you feel you could be pregnant then get a bloodtest now to see and if so make sure to get in touch with your doctor and that nurse! I really don't think you are though. Also my period is never exactly the same every cycle. Some cycles it is light for a day or two and then heavy and some it is really heavy from the moment it starts and then goes light. Just try to relax as hard as that may be. Call your doctor and speak directly to him/her and ask what to do. Best wishes!!!!!!!!!! |
