as well can anyone tell me about their application process...what did u do etc, how long did it take

and i guess finally can anyone tell me their experiences of the ADF, life, deployment etc
did u get poseted 2 somewhere u wanted?

all answers greatly appreciated

thanks

Hello Katie , I would think VERY seriously about going into ANY of the armed services ..This government does NOT look after you if you are wounded, or put out of the service if you are sick, or wounded . THEY SAY THEY DO WHEN YOU JOIN UP ....but ask some sick vets & see how true that is !! My advice is to Ring the Vietnam Veterans Association, and /or talk to some vets, of Vietnam/East Timor, or Iraq, who are now out of the army/navy.airforce...with injuries/wounds/Post Traumatic Stress Disorder...& see just HOW well/badly , they are treated .....THEN have a good think about your choice of career......Good Luck Katie ....Jenn (Nurse)

Hi Katie, my husband is in the ADF and unfortunately you don't always get posted where you want to. A great website for info on the ADF is ADF Families. Http://ADFFamilies.informe.com there are lots of ADF families on this site who would be able to answer your questions for you. Best Wishes Bec
