Mid back pain that radiates to the front where your xzyphoid process is?


the pain started about 10years ago i started driving a forklift and after work my wife and i would ride around and the pain would start it wasnt bad at first then the company doctor told me i had weak back muscles i worked out for 4 years and the pain didnt get any better it didnt get any worse either also i only drove the forklift for about 6 months the rest of the time i was in maintenance. i had a test done right about the time i quit that indicated i have a hiaitak hernia ive bee a self employed truck driver for 6 years no insurance and my chioropractor friend cant find anything wrong and to be honest makes my pain worse instead of better. when his nurse get close to my spine with the ultrasound machine it feels good but makes my intestines spasam a little . when i eat i get bloated a the pain worsenes i can lay on my sided or lean back tighteten my stomach muscles and breathe out and my back pops and crackles right where it hurts mainly on the right side but lately both sides hurt. the only trauma that i can think of was about 12 years ago young drunk and stupid i flew off of a trampoline and landed flat on my back on the ground trying to do a backflip. the mri is to expensive im just lookin for ideas or somonelse that may have a problem like this

Hi Spadestr

What you have described is actually your diaphragm being tight, and no doubt a few joints and muscles in the mid and lower back not working correctly.

However the main culprit is your diaphragm. Your Chiropractor friend (unless he does Applied Kinesiology) will not look at your diaphragm as he will have no technique to correct it.

When you diaphragm tightens it will cause tension around the base of your rib cage and also stress on your xiphoid process. It also will cause indigestion and if bad enough a hiatal hernia.

Lifting weights or doing exercises will not strengthen it, you actually need to use some Acupressure exercises and breathing techniques to fix it. It is a muscle you can't rest - try not breathing for a few hours.

You also need to balance your pelvis and lower back as these tend to be involved at the same time.

It sounds complicated but in fact very easy to do at home. The link below has some techniques (free) that should ease things but the ebook covers all this and so much more.

I teach my patients techniques they can use at home to remove their aches and pains. The reason is simple, I have a lot of people who live out of town and can't get to see me easily. So I started to teach them what i use on myself.
