How long they'll process re-entry permit?

I applied for a re-entry permit last Jan.29,07 and they told me to wait for updates. I'm waiting for my interview. I need to go to the Philippines this June to continue my nursing. I'm so worried coz I haven't been interviewed. I plan to leave the 3rd week of May. What shall I do?

i am not sure about the law these days but 8 years ago i used it to go back to india. you are allowed up to stay out of country up to a year without the re entry permit. and i had no interview, they just mailed it to my house. dont remember how long it too though.
you should go and start studying, anything comes up, you can come back during the last month you are allowed back.

The reciept letter gave you the website address to check on the status of the application, along with your case number. Use it. Well done for applying with a decent amount of time to spare! :)

It takes about 3-4 months currently. Look for the specific Service Center's processing times under I-131 application.

Since you applied in Jan 2007, your travel document should be issued in April - May.
