What exactly does it mean if someone wants to know the pathophysiology of a disease?

i need to know this to finish my nursing process paper, and i'm totally stuck.

Changes in the body caused by a disease or illness

Pathophysiology (Greek: pathos - disease, suffering, physis - the nature of something, logos - knowledge). Thus the term refers to how biological processes are affected by a disease.. one who wants to know the P. of a disease wants to know which processes (in the body of the ill person) are affected by the disease, and how.
