What are the steps of the Writing Process"?

I want to write a paper for a Nursing class. I have to follow APA format but, I'm not sure of the process for writing.

The art of writing is the art of applying the seat of the pants to the seat of the chair.
- Mary Heaton Vorse

But seriously folks, look at other APA articles to get an idea of the format, ask your instructor for some tips so that you know you're following the pattern expected.

Here's another link for help:
http://www.uwsp.edu/psych/apa4b.htm

Go to the site below and it will show you how.

OK, while I cont know exactly what the heck the APA format is, the process for writing differs according to what you want to write. You're obviously not writing poetry, prose, or fiction, so many methodologies will be discarded from the outset.

A paper for nursing class means essentially a theory paper which means explaining a subject, and for that there's basic system to apply:

* Introduction
Partially repeat the question and explain that you understand it and what the answer will be in the main body of the essay.
* Body
Answering the question that has been set, and telling the reader all about the subject, and what it is, in a way that should be clear and concise and accurate
* Conclusion
Tell the reader what they've just read, and briefly summarise (with bullet points like these) all the information that the readerr has just reade.

Do not forget to do Spell check, Contents page, paragraph headers, bibliography, and also important but frequently overlooked: acknowledgement of sources of information used.

Following all this will create an excellent paper, and with good formatting and fonts etc, look good as well.

Hope that helps.
