What are the process of nasogastric tube? |
Nursing Process, Intervention and Rationale I think the a nasogastric tube can also work in reverse, it can be placed into the patient's nose, led to the stomach and hooked to a bedside suction to empty the stomach. I have heard this method to be used in the event of gastrointestinal disorders such as a bowel obstruction. the tube is placed into one nostril to feed patients that have had a stroke or heart attack or other types of disorders that keeps them from swallowing |
