What kind of nurse are you?

and what is the scope of your profession?

Currently I work in geriatrics. I uses to think this was as low as you go. Actually I find it rewarding since I am with the patients for a long time I get to know them well. I am also th manager when I am on so I have to trouble shoot everything. Pt /family concerns as well as acute symptoms that may require emergency care until 911 arrives.

Prior to this I worked ICU where every nurse thinks they are top dog so there is very little in the way of a support system.

Prior to this I worked 15 years in ER at a trauma canter in chi cage. Loved every minute o it. I was an adrenalin junkie. The worst case the better for me. It was always hard to tell the family's of a loss but knowing you had pushed yourself hard made it worth it.
