Wait..this is illegal!?

You guys should really stop posting medical condition problems pending on the issue. Some people really need to stop calling themselves Doctors, or other fake occupations. Thats illegal..according to the consitution.

In the internet we cant prove or disprove that the person in real life is really* a Doctor. Nurse. ect. In a public health issue in general, only professions ceritfied in medical field or other subjects may be entitled to anwser questions due to perior experience in the field when the user is asking.

This is entirly wrong, when users are awsering questions can make wrongful judgements when anwsering a yahoo question. The user who asked the question may be doing harm to himself/her by listening uncertified health yahoo user's occupation in medical fields or other subjects.

So, heres the question: How can we stop users by faking occupations which are not true?

I avoid the medical questions and im certified, bonified and the real deal...I dont answer the questions because as a medical professional you are not even allowed to give people info on what they may have or whatever without seeing them, over the phone, on the internet, you must see the patient...
People who do ask medical questions should know that they do not know who they are talking to, who is on the other end of the computer and shouldn't take anyones advice with out speaking to a professional in person....Those who do take the advise given here, do at their own risk....

on a side note... *applause* i hate internet phoneys... not only is it misguiding (sometimes dangerously so) it is unscrupulous and shows great character flaw.

Anyone who looks to the internet for medical advise deserves what he/she gets.

I'd rather see some way of keeping the teenyboppers with their stupid questions and comments off myself. No way to do that either.

there are many things illegal according to the constitution, but that doesnt stop the zillions of injustices. so if people want to fake their occupation, so what. its not like they're forcing the sickies to take their advice.

There are posers in every one of these categories. Most give themselves away eventually. I especially liked the "expert" in the hunting category that declared there was no such thing as "Mule Deer" because deer and donkeys don't mate.

The Constitution makes it illegal for me to pretend to be a doctor? What article would that be - I've obviously missed it.

Unless you're going to spend a few dollars on conducting some kind of verification process for everyone that drops in here, there is no way to prevent someone from pretending to be anybody. It's the nature of the beast.

I'm not here to answer your question, but I just got into it the other day with ones claiming to be something. Not worth the fight either. They manipulate thing's you say and at time's DON'T read the whole question you or some-one might of
asked.

Doctors would Not waste their time on yahoo answer's.
Just to get Sued. Most question's are so vague, unable to answer properly
