Criminal Law for me?

Hi,
I was just wondering if there is anyone out there who is a lawyer/ or who has had experience in criminal law? Im debating between nursing and lawschool. I know that sounds wierd, but, I'm pretty sure I could be happy doing either one. So I just wanted to know if there's anyone out there with experience in either one of these professions so they can tell me what it's like.
Thanks so much!
Carolyn

What makes you say I would be disillusioned/dissapointed?

Practicing criminal law can be great, but it is a lot of hard work and stress. Do you think you will like litigation? It's all about going to trial. Do you enjoy public speaking? Do you handle a fast pace well? Can you think quickly on your feet? Do you like reading and writing? Do you have the stomach for sometimes gruesome crimes? It's actually not a lot of money, unless you become a Johnnie Cochran type. I'd suggest volunteering in a DA or public defender office before making your decision, or at least spending a day at the courthouse. Interview a few lawyers, who are almost always willing to give advice.

Well law school is 500 times harder and more expensive than nursing school. The average cost of law school is like 30 grand a year for 3 years. Law school is also more academically challenging than any other post-grad except for maybe medical school. Think about this before deciding.....

You will be greatly disappointed and disillusioned in the Justice System. If I knew now what I knew in college, I'd have gone into another profession.

I am affraid your going to have to be a lawyer. Nursing is good too. You can make more money as a lawyer with a lot less pain.
