I want to move to the uk? |
i want to move to the uk and be able to raise my son there. What are the first steps in doing so, and what kind of profession is best to leave from us to uk (ie. a nurse). Also if I move over to the UK and get a work permit, will my husband be able to go too and also work? Well if you get a work permit as a skilled worker (nurse or doctor) then the whole family will be able to have a visa not only to stay in the country but also (in your case) to work. UK immigration authorities are pretty real and know that you can't live on one wage only. Just be prepared for quite a lot of checks and your visa will be completely dependent on his ie if for example you separate etc then your husband's visa would be cancelled. I had a work permit in the UK and my husband (australian citizen) got one too. We applied for his and got a 5 years visa within 2 weeks. UK people are always giving you a fair go and if you are genuine they will trust you but if you're not, then you're in trouble. The UK has some great schools for your kid too. It's my favourite country in the world and I would go back to live there tomorrow if I could. I guess your first step would be to get in touch with your country's UK Embassy and start the process as you might have to gather quite a lot of info. Good luck If you are serious about moving to our very disturbed Country, I would seriously consider moving to one of the Rural parts of England, or Scotland, as our Cities are no longer safe.I live in Cornwall, at the end of England, and it is one of the safest area's to live. I live in a tiny village, with virtually no crime, a very good community spirit, and an excellent tiny primary school with just 35 pupils. I know most American people want to live in London, but believe me, it isn't the nicest place to live. It is very unfriendly, dirty, dangerous and very expensive. Good luck!! |
