Canadian Forces Aptitude Test (CFAT) a credible test? |
This app test takes a look at definitions, shape folding and math problems. It is used in the application process to the CF and a standard hastobe met depending on position Offi or NCM. IE both NCMs and officers applying for infantry, armoured, logistics... everyone has to take the same test regardless. I recently applied for an infantry officer position and was denied because I did not make the minimum requirement on the math section. I find it hard to believe it is a credible aptitude exam when the -one test- is used for -everyone- in the military and judges everyone's aptitude no matter what profession they seek. All aptitude tests I have researched (police, nurse, government) have had -specific- aptitude tests for the -specific position-. Although I believe the CFAT can tell what areas people are weak in, I just do not believe that this exam can give an accurate aptitude reading for every profession and find it unfair. I can find no info on it's credibility. Any pros out there know I thought The Canadian Forces Aptitude Test (CFAT) was (RYT&PYH) Rubbing your tummy and patting your head, or was that rubbing your head and patting your tummy, at the same time mind! Just kidding Canucks! Report It Try taking the US Military ASVAB statistically related to standard IQ test as the most reliable answer. |
