What kind of BS is this? |
I've been thinking all about what could be the oldest profession in the world, now that I search the question (knowing that someone definitely thought about it before me) I see that everybody say that prostitution was the first professional in the world. ARE YOU CRAZY. WHAT KIND OF BS ANSWER IS THAT. HOW CAN PROSTITUTION COME BEFORE TEACHING OR PREACHING OR NURSING Well, not a "crazy" answer, considering that prostitutes, known to ancients as things like vestal virgins, were around a long, loooooong time ago. They performed a purely religious function....not the kind of prostitution we are familiar with. As such, they would have come long before teaching or caring for the sick as a profession. It's just a saying because prostitution has always been around. Wouldn't that be just for women because they were not allowed to go out and work? I think for men it would have been farming by what the bible says. what kind? - the smelly kind They're all wrong - the oldest profession is farming That's the way it is. Entertainment comes first, that's why we have celebrities today. If teaching would have come before prostitution, the price would have gone up and then we wouldn't be who we are now. Sorry to burst your bubble, but prostitution IS considered the oldest profession in the world. it's not bs it's the truth. think about it, before learning, teaching, language, what was there? sex and money. the trade was obvious. you said the oldest, not the best. wasnt it a prostitute who washed jesus's feet thats prolly right there was like always prostitutes people wanted sex before ther were schools and stuff like that jesus met a prostitute once cuz ppl (especially men) really like sex, and even a cave woman could figure out she could use it as leverage. Hunting/Gathering. Maybe they're talking about things that actually pay money. I think that the first profession was farming. Maybe even the farmers needed a little something after work..... It could be urban legend, but it could be true. Why is it so alarming that you have to put it in all caps? <sigh> just cus you don't like the truth don't make it less true.teaching, preaching and nursing, while wonderful things are not the kinda things people pay for themselves out of their own pockets...however, men have always been willing to pay for sex I Don't Understand??!! well since you have to be paid for it to be called a profession then it sounds about right, I am sure the first farmers and preachers and teachers were not paid. so ya sounds right to me. hahahaha. prostitution? thats hilarious. i dont think there was a first profession. hunting and gathering was necessary in a normal day way back but as humans became more advanced i think money and paid professions just came gradually at the same time. just a guess though. actually i think they're wrong, pimping was the first profession. someone had to manage them. the first profession would be a berry salesman or something. adam and eve's grandchildren probably sold berries to eachother Because humans come with the instinct to mate built-in, and it is very strong - a close second to the survival instinct. That kind of instinct gives male animals, of all species, the subconscious desire to "sow our seeds." And it is extremely likely that a woman made her living by letting males indulge this instinct with her before anyone MADE A LIVING as a nurse. Teaching and nursing were just things that had to be done in the early years of society, and probably not something that someone was actually paid for. Read the bible. You ever heard of concubines??! art-tart yes it is a Bit Scary, not to take too seriously, Ive heard that it was all my life. It's not "BS" at all - what everybody said has its foundation in history. No one is crazy, and since you have not studied enough about ancient civilizations to understand that slavery, whether it was sexual or not, has a long history, you need to research a little deeper. The ancient civilizations of Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece, Rome, the Aztecs, and even the modern nations of the United States of America (from its inception until 1865), and Saudi Arabia (finally outlawed in 1962!) all had slaves. Prostitutes also went along with the preachers in certain religions. Yes, at the same time Teaching and Nursing were professions, so was the "World's Oldest Profession." Hunters and gatherers settled down when they figured they could be farmers and invented time. What to do with time? Make more farmers. What did the politicians start doing to them, well, making more farmers. And honey, you are on top tonight because it's been f*** up ever since. Way back in the western shows they had-girls waiting for cow boys show up and you know what girls did, took cow boys-money than took them to bed now that was called..prostituion. |
