Advertisements for Liberal Party?

Interesting to listen to the latest radio ads. 'If you vote for labor there will be'...(note the ads have background yells by supposed militant unionists yelling "We're Back") transport strikes, nursing strikes and it seems ever other type of profession on strike. Have to raise the question: Aren't all of these threatening workers currently working just fine given that they are under State Labor Governments?

It truly reeks of 'SCARE CAMPAIGN' in every sense.

Next they'll be telling us to watch out for Reds under the bed.

These people are so very desperate and willing to colour the truth to save their butts.

P.S. Did you cop a look at Johnny and 'Smirk' doing their mutual admiration society thing last night? I'm sure I saw their noses growing longer as I watched that sickening display.

I personally despise the Liberal party for their scare campaign.
If all they can do is go on about how Labor stuffed up the budget 20 years ago, and how the Unions will control Kevin Rudd, it truly shows how far behind in the past Howard has fallen.

All the Liberals seem to be doing is advertising the negatives of the ALP, not the positives of themselves. Rudd had the right idea at the beginning of the campaign, in ignoring the scare campaign of the Coalition, and advertising his own policies.

Since the Liberals have only marketed the ALP's weakness and nothing else, I won't vote for them, primarily because they haven't given a good, solid reason for me to!

They are just as BAD

Their so-called scare campaign doesn't affect me - however I see a lot of truth in their advertisments. Whilst I realise that some things, like interest rates (despite political parties constantly saying the opposite) cannot be controlled by governments (as any somewhat educated person would know these decisions are made by the RBA), in regards to the recent campaign featuring the unions et al I believe this will be very close to the truth.

Whilst I agree that unions are important (particularly in industries where workers tend to be fairly uneducated and unaware of their rights), a lot of the time they are purely self-serving and many of their strikes and industrial action, I believe to be frivolous. Given the high proportion of ex union leaders in the Labor Party, it is highly likely, if they are elected that unions will become more and more active and progress will be halted.

I don't particularly like the Liberal Party, and I do believe that their ads are somewhat exaggerated, but I would much prefer they be in power than Kevin and his union cronies.

You know what really annoys me about the liberal party campaigns, is the fact that they are sending this rubbish through the mail. Tax payers money wasted, not to mention the amount of trees that have been cut down to make this. Oh and If im on the enviroment issue, the chemicals that would be used to bleach and colour the stuffing flyers. John Howard really has no consideration for the future generation does he?
Almost every day I have received crap from the liberals and have only had a few if that from the labour government.

There advertising campaign is a litany of deceit, deception and misdirection much the way John Howard has opperated most of his life. Honest John is the name he was given along time ago and nothing has changed, sad but true! Well we wake up again to the news that this wonderful government have gagged a release of information, (in the public interest of course) about their expansion on the IR laws should they get back in. And the day before he was saying if they get back in the IR laws will be so deeply embedded in the work relations no future Labor government will be able to reverse them. Yet so many still believe like so many here on the boards that they are the ones to best lead the country to bigger and better things! All these wonderful catch phrases like 鈥渕e-too鈥?鈥渓abor interest rates are higher鈥?鈥渁nti business鈥?br> It is a well-known fact that any capitalist regime such as the Coalition's is obliged to put downward pressure on the basic wages of the productive workforce in order to ensure greater profits for the rich elite. This I assume is why instead of taking active steps to help basic wages to rise in line with the cost of living the government makes hollow gestures with tax cuts which only serve to let industry off the hook by robbing the
public purse and leaving less money for the provision of essential public services such as healthcare, schools and so forth. But the John Howard鈥檚 educational programme for the past year or more of dumbing down the populace to believe what you are told. It is far better to find out the real facts and evaluate the situation yourself.
The 鈥渕e-too鈥?phrase would have no ground has most things that are now important to the Howard government firstly came from Rudd anyway. But that is an old trick of Howard to, just like in 1996 when Pauline came into the picture with her ugly racists play he saw the numbers he could gain there so what did we have鈥?you guessed it Johnny鈥檚 more palatable white Australia鈥?but it got him the numbers!!
The advertisements on the interest rates of labor are one of the best spins out there very funny too! 鈥淯nder the Whitlam Cairns government interest rates where 10%鈥?Under the Hawke Keating Government interest rates where 17% and under the Keating government interest rates where 12%鈥︹€?See the funny bit there? Here I will show you.
Between the Whitlam Cairns government and the Hawke Keating government we forgot to put in the Fraser HOWARD government where the interest where 22% sort of fills in the graphs highs and lows more accurately. When you draw the graph it is funny.
So when we where sent into the deepest recession this country has ever known to this day after the 鈥淓GOnomics鈥?of John Howard it was not the time to be anti-business. Then it did take some really good economic management and vision to get Australia out of it, things like floating the dollar, overhauling tariffs, liberalizing the financial systems, managing industrial relations through the accord and ENTERPRISE BARGAINING- massive changes that transformed our economy. Those are the things that you fail to get with the changes that were put in place, the transformation from the old system where the treasurer can have a great affect on the economy to where his only reasonability is not to blow the budget. Sort of idiot proof, so John Howard could even do it again.
Yes it is true to say 鈥淭he boom has done more for John Howard than John Howard has done for the boom鈥?br> So we end up with the dynamic duo running the country 鈥淵esterday man & Yes man鈥?one a proven failure as treasurer and the other controlled by the proven failure!!!!
As for freedom of speech we do not have it in Australia it is only implied not law which is what John Howard always uses as his get out of jail card.

both parties use scare tactics. i am impartial and unbiased and i like neither party. both parties do it just as much as each other.

Glad I missed the gruesome twosome on TV last night thank god for power blackouts hopefully by next election the Liberal party will find a new tactic I am truly over their scare campaigns come on Libs lets see something other than scare campaigns and self gratification you guys must dislocate your shoulders patting yourselves on the back so much and for what trying to bring back slavery and and a bookie tax where you bet prices will go up so you can gouge more while the tax payer gets less of to opposition for you

I know you dont like to realise the truth and i agree, i am sick of campains, TV adds and posters.

But the truth is that if you vote in Labor you will vote in Unions.
And our economy and JOBS WILL SUFFER because of it.
Unions are well past their use by date.
It need to be a scare campain so people can realise what affect unions have!! Unions will kill our industry, like it or not. Thats what IS going to happen!!!!!!!!

Unfortunatelly unions keep brainwashing their members into lining their pockets. I know what happens, i have been involved in them.
