I am a Filipina from Philippines i would like to apply as Senior Carer in Canada?

I am a Nurse by profession and i had work experince in Middle East in Kuwait Military Hospital for number of years, right now i am a clinical instructor in a University here in the Philippines but I would like to try my luck in applying to Canada since my sister is working there. Thank you.

I think you forgot to actually as a question. Are you wondering what the best course of action is? Are you wondering what City would be the best place to apply? If you want to try to find a job in Canada, it shouldn't be hard. We are short staffed for most medical positions. Do some research first as many times education and experience from the Philippines does not hold in Canada. I had a friend who because a nurse in the Philippines, but had to redo her education here before she could work. You will have to do some checking on that. As well, for better chances, it would be best to apply in cities such as Calgary, Edmonton, Regina and Winnipeg that are smaller that Vancouver and Toronto. The job competition would be less. You have to apply to the Canadian Embassy in The Philipines . We have had a lot of nurses here over the years from The Philipines. I worked as a nurse in the 60's and 70's and worked with many filipina nurses. We always need more nurses and doctors. Good Luck!

Before you fill out the application to work temporarily in Canada you will need:

a written job offer from your employer

proof that you meet the requirements of the job (for example, proof of certain education or work experience) and
the positive labour market opinion on your job offer from Human Resources and Social Development Canada (HRSDC), if one is required. In some cases, you can submit your application while you wait for the positive labour market opinion.
