Question about letting go? |
I am going into the nursing profession and know i am not going to be able to analyze my personal problems while on the job. just stand up and start again=we all goof up at times=it's a way we learn about life On your everyday stress have you tried to just think about what is bothering you give your self a time limit for it to bug you like 1 min.then after that min. tell it to just go away...it will be hard at first but it does work...at the end of each day lay and meditate that only positive things will help you the next day and tell the negative things to be left behind...with practice it will help...good luck Keep yourself busy sweetie. Go do things on your time off. Make new friends and hold your head high. You will be just fine. While you are on the job, their are a million and one things that will flood your mind,in allot of cases the real problems that you encounter every day will far overshadow your own.Try and put aside a little time to write down your concerns and problems,in this way you give them voice, and just getting them out of you can help to resolve unwanted negative thoughts. Also, you can try a prayer or mantra before you fall asleep that requests your problems be gone, granting forgiveness for all those who hurt you,and asking that you be forgiven in return for any hurt you may have caused. Letting go is probably one of the hardest things for most people to do.. I know its been a life long chore for me .. and life is about good-byes as much as it is about hello's .. Still it isn't easy. I use the Serenity Prayer. I think the key to you being able to let go of personal problems is the fact that you recognize it as a problem. You've addressed the issue openly, hopefully you'll get some good answers here, and I know you will learn a lot about letting go in the nursing profession. It's a lot easier said than done, though. I don't know that any of us ever totally get over some things in life, but it's how we deal with it that counts. I always try to see the cup half full of water while I used to always see it as half empty. We all mature and react in different ways, so give yourself some time. Writing a journal works for me. I'll go back and read it several months later and the things that were bothering me have usually been resolved. Sometimes it helps to have a friend to talk to. They can usually see more in yourself than you can, and help you get on with your life. If you are a Christian then I would suggest prayer. I think the nursing profession will work wonders for you. By focusing on the problems of others you will possibly see your own problems in a different way and be able to let go. Lots of luck, and keep me informed. God Bless! i guess that you have to ignore the stuff that bother you and the people that you don't care about and their opinions as well....you have to set a goal and an ambition for your self...that is how you can let go cause once u focus on your goal...you will never think of any small problems and you need to have faith in what you do and believe in it...life is full of problems you can never get rid of them so ignore Be present and to do so it may help to stop believing your thoughts. Try untensing and saying "let go." That is the same as surrendering. "surrender..." |
