Christmas Party?

Has anyone working in the nursing profession ever been invited to a private christmas party that your spouse wasn't invited to also. If it was durring the day at lunch I would understand, but at someones house...

No, I don't work in the nursing profession, but in general, spouses should be invited to any after-hours parties. In my office, there are only two employees, so we usually just have a quick lunch to celebrate Christmas and so we don't invite spouses, but last year we did an evening dinner and brought spouses along.

My question would be: If the party is off-site (not in the office/place of work) and after hours, what is someone trying to hide to not invite the spouses?

its too early to think about that

Yes, there are companies....not just in nursing profession..but across the board where spouses are not invited to the company parties.....btw, Christmas Party? Isn't it a bit early for that?
