Writing a letter of resignation????

how do you write a formal resignation letter if someone will be switching to the nursing profession and has found a new job. whats the formal way? the last working day will be 10/28/07.

hi there,
take a look at this site, hope it helps you: http://www.ielts-exam.net/index.php?opti...

im really really sorry but i dont no

Three days notice???? Wow, you don't expect a very good reference from this company at any point in the future, do you? The link has sample resignation letters. If you're switching to nursing, I'm assuming it is not the field you are resigning from, so I would also add that you aren't leaving due to any problems with your currant job, but "rather to pursue a lifelong dream" or something cheesy like that... It MIGHT prevent some of the hard feelings you are going to leave behind...

well, a letter of resignation is usually given at least two weeks before you plan to leave.

to whom it may concern,
please accept my formal resignation. i plan on leaving my job as ________ on Nov. 8th 2007, having found a job in nursing, my chosen profession.
thank you,

First I would read your contract of employment as it should indicate the required time you have to give.

If you need to leave asap, they may withhold payment of wages because you are leaving asap, as they may point out about the contract.

Sorry to harp on about it but I have been caught out in the same position before and I do not want you to loose out as well and lost a lot of money in the process.

When writing the letter I would keep it neutral and give your last working day and wish them well as they may let you leave.

Good luck
