How to show our appreciation to nurses? |
I never really got to like and respect the nursing profession till I spent 4 nights at the hospital earlier this month after my c section. I got to really love, respect, appreicate, and admire all the nursing staff there. I never realized how hard this job is. I noticed that all of them really love their job and take pride in it and work really hard. They've been very nice, caring friendly, and helpful. I made sure to thank each one of them before I leave 'cause they've been really great. I hate to admit that all I used to think of that job is that it's just "disgusting" but now I have a completely different idea about it. I just wanted to say thank u very much to all the great and beautiful nurses out there. Nothing would have been the same without you. thank u thank u thank u. I didn't know where else to post this :D that is beautiful. I think the best thank you to the nursing profession is posting this question. I'm touched, and not kidding. I've had some crappy nurses before, but, for the most part, the nurses I've encountered during this pregnancy (and especially when I was hospitalized with a UTI) have been angels. I'm so grateful for people like that. You could send a card addressed to the nurses who cared for you to the department/floor you stayed on. My mom's a nurse and she loves it when her patients send thank you's. First of all, as a nurse, THANK YOU for recognizing this. One thing you can do to let the nurses know you appreciated the care you got is to see if there is some sort of employee recognition program at the hospital. Most hospitals have them and when a patient submits one, the nurse or employee gets some sort of recognition by their boss. I think it is completely awesome that you felt compelled to post this! You must have had some awesome nurses! If you want to show your appreciation of your nurses, send a note to the unit thanking your nurses. They appreciate it. That's really sweet. Send a big arrangement of flowers to the nurses with a card. I'm sure they'd appreciate it because I doubt they get thanked enough for what they do. I thanked the nurses when i was in hospital was the local newspaper and i sent them some flowers. To the department they work in. Not a big bunch. not to go over board, even thow you know they deserve the appreciation. That's what i done hope it helps to decide that is just wonderful , they are severely not appreciated and I try to make it up to them all the time , they really deserve the best . Awwwwwww .. as a "friend" once said ... that's sho shweet! hehehe |
