Nurses...knowing what you know now....?

would you advise anyone to go into the nursing profession?

Honey, we need all of the good nurses we can get! Many young nurses don't realize that it's demanding, tiresome, mentally and physically draining, and sometimes you can work long hours. But, nursing is more than a profession, it's a calling and you have to be a special kind of person(male or female)to do this kind of work. I've been in nursing for a long time, and if I could do it again, you're damn right I do it. I make a difference and I encourage anyone that if nursing is where you want to be, then go for it. We need y'all!

nursing is an honourbale profession...and under-appreciated

takes a great person to go into it

I have mixed feelings about this. I burned out, but I'd been a nurse for 13 years. I've not worked for 2 years now. I would advise someone to go into nursing if they are very high energy and have a great tolerance for stress. I think men are better wired to be nurses to be honest with you. But if you can handle the stress and overload it is a great job because it is so flexible and you can make a decent salary.

its good money but in parallal dont forget its direct exposure to lot of diseases and to treat someone grouchy is so tough sometimes.and most of place its long long hours shift, u cant spend too much time with ur family ....so if u think all these things does't matter to u at all then go for it .........
its lot lot lot lot lot of money in this .............

No, there's plenty less stressful professions to go in to.
