Online nursing programs?

I'm a little skeptical of online nursing programs. I thought nrsing was pretty "hands on" and it seems learning on line would not be as effective as going to a real-life campus. I was hoping to get some information from someone who attended one of these programs. I work and have two young kids so going online would be great if it works. I just don't know how I would be in the field with only learning at home and not having any contact with other people in the profession.

You cannot obtain a nursing license with no clinical experience. It is very hands-on as you say. The legitimate nursing programs you see online only offer the textbook type, "normal" academic classes online, you still have to go through clinicals in a hospital like any other nursing program. If they say you don't, it is a scam.

The only exception I know to that is online programs where a nurse who already has a bachelor's degree and a certain amount of experience in the field can get a legitimate master's degree online.
