What is the difference between nursing and caring?

last year at a uni nursing interview they asked me this question and i was completely stuck! i am going for an interview again this year can anyone help? be grateful if anyone in this profession could help too.

There is no difference. When you are a nurse, part of the job is caring. In addition to being a skilled team member, you also have to give care to the patient and their family. You have to advocate and support the family, or point out things that the family does not understand and help them.

Personally I think there is no difference Choosing nursing as a profession is caring, especially if you love your job. Nursing is all about helping people and So is caring

I would say that as a nurse you are taking more of a active role than caring, and yes carers and nurses do the nsame kind of jobs but as a nurse you can teach about prevention, looking after a wound for instance and teaching how to prevent further breakdowns etc. Good luck

Caring is looking after the basics and washing etc and helping a nurse. A nurse does drugs and injections, dressings etc. A nurse has more responsibility and needs to know more about conditions and illnesses and what to do. When to call a doctor and will be responsible for several patients
