Does the Nursing Field have a higher percentage of obese women than other professions and Why.? |
I work in the Engineering field, and I can't think of one woman that I've worked with that is obese. While in the Nursing field, it seems that about half of them are obese. Is there a reason for this, or is it just my imagination. i agree I work in the Nursing field & it is your imagination. The food industry or any kind sitting @ your desk kind of a job has more obese folks. No, I don't think so. Most of my coworkers were pretty fit, of course I worked with a lot of younger nurses. You have to run up and down hallways so it's usually not a desk job. It might depend on what area you work in. Some of the lower paying jobs had a higher percentage of both older nurses and obese nurses, so maybe there's a correlation there. People in general tend to gain weight as they age. Nurses are aging because there's less new nurses coming in... |
