Can nursing be considered a profession?why?

Can nursing be considered a profession?why?

Of course nursing is considered a profession. And any nurses we encounter are the highest ideals of what a professional should be!

The amount of schooling alone qualifies them as professionals. Beyond that, nursing isn't just about skill and having a degree - it's one of the rarest professions wherein a person answers a calling to be a healer of others.

I've admired nurses all my life. They are highly skilled professionals who rival the doctors or specialists who work alongside with them. More often than not, it is a nurse who is responsible for saving lives; most hospital stays you are in their care literally longer and more intently than you are the physician or surgeons.

Just my thoughts anyway - cheers

yes it is a profession as it makes many professional :)

yes. you have to study to be a nurse. and you need great skill.

It's a vocation, so I guess it's a profession if you're being paid to do what you love, and have studied hard for.

Nursing is more than a profession.
It needs lot of patience, skill, tolerance and what not.
If you are a nurse, Regardless of how your mood is, you need to behave in a kind manner to the patients

Nursing indeed a professional profession after received the magical touch from Florence Nightingale and they're a lot of Nursing Schools or Applied Health Schools across the world and it become increasingly evident towards health and medical developments.

Yup.
