Why is nursing a preferred profession by many? |
Why is nursing a preferred profession by many? it isn't which is why we have to get nurses from oversea Because, it gives satisfaction to help others who are in need. I'm not sure what you mean by preferred profession. If you are talking about the reputation of nursing as a whole, nurses provide a great deal of service to a great number of people. If you mean they think of it as a prestigious profession, they probably don't know much about it. Although the pay scale is much better than it used to be, the working conditions in terms of patient loads, hours required, regulations to deal with, etc. often make it an absolutely hellish job. Some people have a romantic idea of the profession because of what they see on TV. If you just mean preferred in the literal sense, well in a lot of ways it's better than being a ditch digger or a septic tank drainer. It pays better and it's a lot cleaner. With all of the job losses in this country nursing has become more popular to many due to good pay and the ability to have a job that you can go almost anywhere with. And it's a kind of job where the services will always be needed. |
