What personal abilities are needed to help someone enter or advance in the nursing profession?

patience. virtue. oh wait.. abilities. being able to stand the stench of old people.

the studies are hard
you have to know a lot of difficult terms
many of them are so similar
that they are really confusing

you have to work long hours
in the training
and on the actual job

you have to be reliable
if you make a mistake
you could lose your nursing license

you have to be able to
get along with
people who are sick,
that means they are
smelly, angry, clingy, scared, fragile

being an lpn is pretty easy
being an rn
involves more study
and a hard test
beyond the rn level, you study even more!

however,
the money in nursing is pretty good

if you're a traveling nurse (rn)
or a teacher of nurses,
the money is even more than pretty good


the nursing schools
have different street cred
make sure you go to a good one
different state licenses
also have different cred
try to be licensed in a state where it means something
