What nursing profession does not require you to use a needle to draw blood? |
Someone asked if there is a profession in the nursing field that does not require you to draw blood with a needl? I think you need to pick another profession. There are plenty of other options if you want to work in a hospital. How else are you going to get it out? if you want to be a nurse, needles will be a big part of your job. What kind of nurse are you that you don't want to use a needle? Nurse's aids. In some states, medical assistants and LPN's are allowed to give injections, but can not draw blood. Drawing blood, for testing, is normally done by a phlebotomist. Operating Room Nursing. All nurses have to be able to draw blood and the only way to get it is with needles. You are better off looking into another field other then healthcare if needles bother you. Even jobs that don't require you to draw blood are around blood and needles. Certified Nursing Assistant doesnt require you to draw blood. Im going to start schooling in April for CNA. |
