What is the title of this young adult science fiction book I read when I was young?

I've been trying to buy the books I loved as a child and I can't figure out the title and/or author to this one book. I believe it was printed sometime during the 1970s, but not sure. Please help.

Brief summary: The world is overheating and a teen girl goes to find her brother who is in the space program. She manages to get on the spaceship that holds the people that will repopulate whatever planet they land on. She fights constantly with the commander and starts a mutiny, but then falls in love with him after he nurses her back to health while she's locked in the ship's jail cell. They end up landing back on Earth.
