Can my pediatrician classify ADD? Also is the medication expensive? Please Thank You. Help? |
I would like to go to a psychiatrist but its too much cash. My mom just got laid off from nursing. I really never met my dad. And we don't qualify for any assistance programs. Don't say its a made up disease you don't know whats its like... I sit their try to finish my homework closing my television. I try and try. I sit their literally moving around from one subject to another 3 hours later barely anything is finished. I've tried everything. My guidance couselor even recommended getting diagnosed. Yes, they certainly will be able to, and may even refer you onto a specialist who can see you for free. If ADD or ADHD is confirmed, you may not even need medication. ADD is caused by a lack of stimulation, and so motivation and stimulation exercises and tasks are commonly used to treat it. Medication e.g. Ritalin is really only used after these techniques have been tried, and failed. |
