Have you used any weight loss systems while breastfeeding? |
I posted this in another area but didn't get any replies so I thought I'd try this area. Anyway, I am still nursing my 8-month old but am wanting to lose some baby weight. I know some of the programs you can't use while nursing (Herbal Magic, Dr. Bernsteins) but just wondered if there are any that you can do while nursing and how effective they are? I am not too into the prepacked food thing either just b/c I have never been into convenience foods and besides, I have to cook for my family anyway, might as well all eat the same thing. However, if a particular system worked really well for you, I would probably consider it. Thanks for the insight! I lost all my baby weight from breastfeeding my baby after 2 months. But I still want to lose more weight. I am currently eating mostly fruits and veggies and just a little bit of meat. I exercise 3 days a week for about 2 hours a day. I take frequent walks with my baby and I snack during the day (on veggies and fruits) instead of eating a lot at once. To make sure my daughter still gets her nutrients I am still taking prenatal vitamins. This is working out very well for me. I have lost a total of 40lbs since my baby was born. You don't need any special pills or plans to lose weight. Just exercise and lots of fruits and veggies will do the trick! (but remember to take your prenatal vitamins so your baby still gets all the nutrients she needs in the breast milk). I have a couple friends who swear by the Weight Watchers program for breastfeeding moms. |
