I'm a paramedic that want to become a nurse? are there any brigde programs online?

Yes, go to Rueed.com
This is a home study transition program. You will earn your degree from Excelsior College in New York. I started as an EMT through a community college, LPN at a vocational school and I am now enrolled in the program that I just told you about working towards my RN. Several Paramedics opt to do it this way. My husband is also a FF/Medic. He thought about nursing but he got tired of hearing my stories...LOL!

I don't know who told the person up there that Paramedics don't go to college...that's the dumbest thing I have ever heard. She needs to walk a day in their shoes. Does she think they got the education and license from Walmart?

Anyways, whether you go to a college or do the online thing they do give you credit for the practical portion while you are working as a Medic.

Being a Paramedic will not count for anything in nursing school.

well there is probably not a whole lot online because nursing is really a practical thing. besides papramedics dont really go to college. you might kno a lot of thing that nurses do and u probably be amazing in ER but did you have any prereqs and all..i dont kno about u but in FL they have a paramedic class and they teach em everything there but nursing you have to go to college for atleats 2 years and all... best bet would be to go to ur community college. i mean that way u can continue working and make money but u would be doin nursing too...a lot of paramedics i met over summer were doing that.
