Which part of Hawaii is the best part to visit?

I graduate from my nursing program in May, and my husband and I plan to take a trip to celebrate. Any suggestions?

Another vote for Kauai. It's less touristy, very lush and tropical and they have beautiful beaches and waterfalls.

If you want to see the black sand beaches, go to the big island of Hawaii. You can also take a helicopter tour over the volcanoes which are usually always erupting.

depends if your in party mode when you go it's Waikiki Beach but if your going to relax and kind of just chill Maui is the best!!!

MAUI for sure! have fun!

Kauai. Hands down. It is the garden island, and not as touristy as Waikiki.

the best part

I stayed in honolulu, and it was perfect. My uncle has an apartment there so I couldn't recomend a hotel or anything...but you DEFINATELY wont be bored in honolulu! Plus, the island isn't very big so nothing is too far a drive like pearl harbor and waikiki. I recommend honolulu :) have fun!! don't forget your sunscreen

First, you need to figure out what island you want to go to, then from there check out what they have to offer.
I've been to Oahu and seen Pearl Harbor, snorkelled in Haunauma Bay, hiked Diamondhead (a dormant volcano), burned to a crisp on Waikiki, did some great shopping, and went to North Shore when the waves were insane.
Oahu is always a great place to visit, if you want to do alot of "touristy" things.

I heard the Big Island many people said the best

The Island of Oahu (that is where Honolulu is) has a LOT of the more famous things (tourist attractions) that most people are familiar with - The Polynesian Cultural Center, Waikiki beach, The North Shore big wave surfing, Pearl Harbor, tons of restaurants and shopping, botanical gardens, great beaches, etc.
Maui is amazing in its natural setting - it is REALLY dry on one side and almost constantly raining on the other side. it has a 10,000 foot high dormant volcano and some great little towns.... also one of the best spots on earth to see humpback whales. It tends to be a lot less urban and a bit more relaxing.
The Big Island is AMAZING - but it is BIG - you will spend a lot of time driving to see all of the different sites but what you will see is phenomenal - rain forests, active volcanoes, coral reefs, lush tropical valleys.
So it really all depends on what you are looking for in your trip to Hawaii...if it is your first time i would say go to Oahu.
