Can someone in nursing describe the beliefs and values upon which the Practicle Nursing Program is the built.

Do you mean Practical Nursing Program?

Well it is suppose to be bed side manor and caring for the sick. But not really so anymore it's all about getting in and out doing the paper work right even if the sick person suffers from the whole thing.

Nurse comes from nursery....like you takle care of new born child. He is unable to do anything to take care of himself. So there was a need that some one other that the child himeself must perform certain routine that make sure that the child will grow into a MAN or a useful person for the society. Like wise based on this same approach all patients who are sick and can not perform some functions or are unable to take care of themselves because of their sickness.....a need for a nurse or as you put it practcal nursing program is based on this same approach to act and perfrom certain duties and functions for the sick person so that the patient is rehabilitated and become a noraml useful person of the society.

Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. A holistic approach. The wellness continuum. Critical thinking. Nursing is an art & a science. The teaching/learning process is a shared responsibility. Nursing education is a learner-centered process. The scope of nursing practice. Legal and ethical issues. Contemporary beliefs of the profession. The program includes the faculty beliefs about individuals, society, health, Nursing education and teaching/learning and whatever the Mission Statement is.

There may be some variation depending on specific programs at specific schools but this is a list of the basics.
