How long does a RNA program take to complete? |
I'm thinking about takeing a nursing program but I'm not sure which one I should take. I move from Texas to Florida and Im only going to be here 1 years so I don't know how long it takes. If you have a bachelors degree already, you may be able to go to school for one year and get a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I believe other programs may run something close to 18 months. You can find LPN programs that are a little under a year but you really have to search them out. I don't know what a RNA is. Are you talking about a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)? There are two ways to become a Registered Nurse--you can get an Associate's Degree from a 2 yr. Community College or a Bachelor's Degree from a 4 yr. college or university. To become a CNA, you can take an 8 week course at a hospital, nursing home, vocational school, or Community College. Good luck. If you are talking about Restorative Nursing Assistant (RNA), you have to be a CNA (Certified Nursing Asssistant) first. If you are already a CNA, taking the RNA class won't take too long.... But it depends on the class you're taking. The RNA class near me (in California) has a class once a week for 6 weeks with a total of 25.5 hours of class time (4.25 hours a day). So if you find a class that meets more than once a week, you'll be done in no time. |
