Nursing waiting list?

I have just rec'vd notice that I'm an Alternate number 2 out of a nursing program that accepts 60 applicants. My question is how likely would it be for me to get into this program for this semester?

I was and Alternate 2!!! Basiclly two students decided that they did not want to attend Nursing school and now I am in for this Fall. GOOD LUCK!!! I wish you all the best...

In Florida there is a year's waiting list. Being alternate #2 isn't bad, but two students accepted will have to decide not to attend.

If you have another program you can attend in your area you may want to check them out too. Sometimes hospitals offer programs.

Being a number 2 alternate on a waiting list is not that bad but if I were you I would apply to another program as quickly as possible. You may get lucky but I wouldn't take many chances and put all my eggs in one basket. I know because when I applied for nursing school at my university thee were only 100 spots and over 5000 applications. Good Luck

I would bet good money you get in. More then likely two people will not go who got accepted for many reasons like family money location work time ect.
You most likely though will get little notice before the semester starts as they give their first choice students plenty of time to respond. I made it into a school as first alternate and got 5 days notice.
