Why is it so hard to get into a nursing program in Houston? Any suggestions where to apply and get accepted? It's hard to get into Nursing schools ANYWHERE because, even though there is a need for more nurses, there are also standards for the field to consider: I agree with some of the thumbs down people that Ms_Diva_Dee also gave some good advice. On the other hand, it's up to the asker to decide sometimes what they needed to hear most. Report It It's very hard to get in anywhere. My advice is to maintain a 4.0, do volunteer work (at a hospital) in your spare time and have very good reasons for wanting to become a nurse. If all else fails go to school to be an LPN, while you are in school keep applying for the RN program. I know some girls who got in that way. Try and get a letter of reccomendation from a doctor that you've worked with. The main reasons why there are long waiting lists and difficulty entering nursing schools are because: |
