What pre-requisites do i need to start a nursing program? Pre-requisites for nursing programs vary by (1) school and (2) nursing program. The pre requisite courses you will need to take depends on the nursing program you choose. For a bachelor鈥檚 degree, you will have the normal basic courses in: english, math, science, arts and humanities before your begin your nursing courses. It depends on the college, but you will generally have to complete prenursing courses in the areas of chemistry, math, anatomy/biology, and an intro to nursing class.
