I am thinking about being a nurse. does anyone know the prerequisites for getting into the nursing program? |
what kind of things do they look for that will help me get in? It depends on what type of nurse you want to be. I was looking into that for a while because I wanted to be a nurse too. I have 2 small kids so I'm not ready yet. Anyway, You are looking at about 2 to 4 yrs of schooling before you can be in the nursing program (clinicals). Go onto your school's website and see what it says. Good luck pursuing being a nurse! It varies from school to school, and what kind of nurse you want to be. Most nursing schools are hard to get into, due to the sheer amount of people that want to get in. You'll have to complete all your core classes, and have a certain GPA and SAT or ACT scores. Check the website of whatever school you want to go to, and it should have the information on there. |
