I am applying to Ohio States nursing program and my application says "decision pending" is this good or bad?

The deadline for the application was the 1st of February and Im nervous that because there is a decision being made already, if that is a bad sign.. or if this is a good thing.

I'm assuming you checked your status online, and didn't receive this in the mail, right?

If so, it just sounds like they've received your application, and are in the process of evaluating it with all of the others. I wouldn't call it good or bad (though the fact they received the application is good, I suppose). It doesn't mean a thing either way. I've had similar things posted when checking my applications online, including when I applied to OSU for grad school. I wouldn't worry about it just yet, or unless you applied 6 months ago and they still haven't told you anything. When colleges make their decision and inform you, they are pretty explicit about what it means.

Besides, you can always call and ask if it's still a concern.

Well I go to Ohio State as well so as a buckeye to a buckeye I think that decision pending is probably similar to being wait-listed. The way I look at it you probably have a 50-50 chance of getting in. So think of the cup as half full instead of empty and considered it a good thing.

Very bad, mine said that for KU and I didnt get in.
