Can you get into a nursing program with a ged? I think it depends on the school you want to attend. Find out their requirements and go from there. There is usually a time standard, too. For example, I didn't decide to go back to school until I was 25, and by then I had been out of high school for 7 years... Because of that I didn't have to have an SAT score. You can get into the CNA and LPN program easily with a GED. Many colleges, mainly community and technical, offer nursing programs with the GED. As far as the RN, it may be more difficult to find a program unless you have a diploma, act or sat, etc..... Well, in Alabama you can. I did. But requirements vary from state to state, and possibly from school to school. |
