My wife failed the second semester in a Nursing Program how can I help? |
I have a hard time with emotions and its hard for me to show how much I feel for her when she is down any help would be appreciated. So far you have been given very good advice. You could also try (I dont' know how much you do help at home or not) maybe helping more around the house so she has more time to study. Helping with the cleaning, shopping, washing the clothes etc. It's the little things that count. Slipping her little notes in with her papers saying I love you, have a nice day, I'm thinking of you, I know you can do this. I think you should show her how you feel. You love her, don't you? Then let her know that you are there for her, and that you believe in her. This could lift her confidence and do better in school. Help her at home or in any others things you can. This is when she really needs you the most. I am starting the Nursing school clinicals next semester and I am scared to death. I can only imagine how your wife must feel. There is not a lot of second chances in the Nursing program. If she gets to repeat the semester then you need to motivate her to try so much harder next semester and if she does not get to repeat it do all you can to help her figure out her next step. Bottom line just be as supportive as possible and make sure she knows you love her. coming from someone who has been through the nursing program, it is hard as hell at times. don't let her give up on this. it is worth all the trouble, promise!! sometimes it is best if you will dedicate your time to quizzing her and helping her study. don't interfere with her studies or be a stumbling block. nursing is a very rewarding career. build her up every step of the way! Bring her flowers, take her out for dinner, give her "Im thinking of you" cards. There's many ways to show her you care. Nickie's answer is great! If your wife still continues in the program, go ahead and do everything in the household. It's going to be worth it! Assure her that the house will be quiet when she studies. |
