Entering a nursing program but unsure about what specific area of interest I will like.?

Im a 21/m and I think nursing will be for me...but I like a lot of action and I like a fast paced environment. I love pressure, and that is why I am a waiter.

I would not like changing bed pans that is for sure.

What is the fastest paced area of nursing that I might find an interest in?

If your entering a nursing program then half your time will be spent in uni, the other in practice. You'll get experience within many different areas as a student and then you can decide once your qualified which area you prefer and would like to work/specialize in. No one likes changing bed pans but its apart of nursing and your gonna do and see much worse! Good luck.

You can work in a nursing home with generally older patients, if that's what you're interested in. You can work in home health care. You can also work in a hospital in the various units they have there, like: urology, neurology, surgery, dermatology, pediatrics, oncology, etc. Good luck. You can always talk to an advisor about that.

I don't like to change bed pans either.

None of us like changing bedpans, but we all have to do it!

Men usually gravitate toward the Emergency room. Study hard in school, and don't be afraid to pay your dues on the med surg floors after you get out. Try to get some telemetry and cardiac experience along the way, too, it'll come in handy later.

Good luck!
