Entering a nursing program but unsure about what specific area of interest I will like.? |
Im a 21/m and I think nursing will be for me...but I like a lot of action and I like a fast paced environment. I love pressure, and that is why I am a waiter. If your entering a nursing program then half your time will be spent in uni, the other in practice. You'll get experience within many different areas as a student and then you can decide once your qualified which area you prefer and would like to work/specialize in. No one likes changing bed pans but its apart of nursing and your gonna do and see much worse! Good luck. You can work in a nursing home with generally older patients, if that's what you're interested in. You can work in home health care. You can also work in a hospital in the various units they have there, like: urology, neurology, surgery, dermatology, pediatrics, oncology, etc. Good luck. You can always talk to an advisor about that. None of us like changing bedpans, but we all have to do it! |
