What would be the best nursing research for a 3rd year nursing student like me?

i would strongly encourage any nursing student to consider the field of Developmental Disabilities. It is sorely undertaught.

BIAS SHOWING - I have taken friends w/DD to hospitals and until I told the nurse/dr to speak to them, I was addressed exclusively. Even if it would appear that my friends do not understand what is being said, we have no way to know what receptive abilities are hidden by the obvious lack of normal expressive abilities.

The geriatric population is increasing & will continue to increase because medication & treatment modalities are becoming more advance. If I were still in nursing school I would research the increasing geriatric population vs the nursing shortage.
Another great project would be the nurses age . . . they're getting older, will they still make good nurses at 60-70 years old?
