Are there any companies that will pay for a person to go to school ( nursing etc)?

in exchange for a contract of employment after graduation?

Yes. Mostly are the hospitals, which would sponsor you and have you return a 3 year service working for them. Some places are picky about the people they sponsor so it's going to be a bit tough to get one if you don't have hookups.

Oh, btw... most sponsorships will only pay for the program tuition (which is about 2+ years) so you'll have to pay for your pre-req's.

yes

plenty, not sure about nursing though, it's more the IT companies that do that.

never heard of any that work like that (it's too risky for the company),

but there are alot that will pay for you to go to school (weekend or night) once you have a (any) job there.

I know some companies will for dental assisting. Im actually trying to get into an office that will sponsor me. If I do I think it's something like you work for them for a year or 2 after to pay it off. Im not too sure about nursing but it is DEFFINATELY something worth looking into. If they will make sure you express how willing you are to learn. Companies like people like that because it makes you an asset worth investng it to them.

Yes! The Armed forces will pay you a monthly salary for about 2 years for you to study in college (School, in USA!).
After graduating from College, you will have to serve the Forces---
Careers like Engineering, Medicine, and Nursing readily have such programs in India.

There are government initiatives to recruit teachers, medical personnel, etc in the USA and the UK. They fund your university, and in exchange you work in a economically deprived areas.

The free market lobby is always trying to stop it.

There are a lot of private companies that pay for people to do PhD, especially in scientific research. They also pay for part time courses (especially masters degrees) for entry level positions, where there is a specialist skill shortage. So the job for the first two years is half masters, half work, and there's like a seven year contract.

But I haven't heard of companies (unless you count the NHS, British National Health Service) paying for full time nursing school.
