What are the chances that I will make it into Med. School with a Registered Nursing major?

I heard from this guy who is applying to Med School right now that Med. Schools really look down on Nursing majors. I thought that my chances of getting in had a lot more to do with my GPA and MCAT scores, what do you think?

True, they do primarily look at GPA and MCAT scores, but your friend is completely right. As a registered nursing major, med schools will really look down on your application because it's not a hard science major. If you want a shot at med school, major in either chemistry, biology, or bioengineering
