What should I feed my 2yo at 5am on my clinical days? I'm in nursing school and must be at the hospital by

6:45 three days a week. My son will need to get up at 5, so I can take him to daycare. I have a hard time getting him to eat so early, but I feel like I should offer him something, because the daycare doesn't serve breakfast until 8 or so. Any suggestions? If I give him something like raisins in those little boxes, he can take it with him to nibble on at the daycare. They won't let me bring a full on meal, only something he can hold in his hand. I'm going to buy more raisins, but I don't want to serve those to him every time.

how about some cereal bars. or yogurt that comes in a squeezable tube.granola bars.

how bout a banana? or dry cereal, granola, sliced apple, or other fruit in a baggy? some crackers..
the raisins are a good idea too... but you are right, he probably wont want them every time.

TRY A SMALL ZIPLOCK BAG OF CHERIOS OR A BREAKFAST BAR. MAYBE EVEN A BREAKFAST POCKET. TRY TO GET HIM TO EAT IT ON THE WAY TO DAYCARE SO OTHER KIDS DONT FEAL BAD.

my sons like those breakfast cookies.
i know that they aren't made for kids, but hey, i have to get my oldest to school and me to work. They are easy to hold, even for my 16 month old, and easy for them to eat.

they also like GO-gurt, but i wouldn't suggest that... it tends to get smeared in the car. I also sometimes give my youngst a baggie of the dissolving fruit puffs from gerber.
