Can someone explain me how to turn prone a patient in the OR. I'm in nursing school, and I have to investigate |
I need detailed explanation, or a place to have free internet access to patient positioning in the OR. Sorry Nurse. Prone means laying on the face. Supine means laying on the back. Prone means back. If you are trying to turn them on their back, you must keep them align from head to toe. Use a sheet under them and pull it towards use and then drap the sheet slightly over their body and use it to tug them onto their back slowly while keeping them align. Hard to explain. It would be best to have another person assist you. Don't they get them into position before they knock them out? |
