Do you think its easy for men to get accepted into nursing school, because there is a shortage of male nurses |
Or no...... I think it will depend upon your entrance exam scores as well as your cumulative GPA, just like a woman. There is no easy way of getting into nursing school yes i know alot of male nurses No. Men are encouraged to apply as there is a shortage, but they won't necessarily take on a man just because he has applied. Student nurses are all considered on equal merit, whether male, female, black, white etc. I don't think they discriminate based on gender. I think you probably face the same standards as female. Discimination based on gender is illegal in employment and education. no - it doesn't matter what gender you are - a shortage of NURSES is a shortage of NURSES (male or female) - go for it (and learn how to write well; you'll need that skill for the numerous reports you'll be required to do!) whether or not you get accepted to nursing school has nothing to do with your gender... there is a shortage of nurses, period! I think as long as you meet the needed criteria, you should have no problem. No, there is, however, nationwide a shortage of nurses at all levels so a competent, caring individual will find no trouble getting accepted or even getting a 'scholarship' from a hospital for his or her nursing schooling. Gender is insignificant when it comes to putting aside your queasiness and wiping up someone's crap or vomit; or when a quick wise decision can save a life. It doesn't matter the sex, what matters is the grades, and qualifications. There are a shortage of nurses, period. This question is really irrelevant. I don't believe there is a nursing school out there who accepts prospective nursing students based on gender. It's first come, first serve or who ever has their prerequisites done first. Also, being a male does not hinder that person from being accepted into nursing school. |
