How long do you have to be in nursing school to get a RN?

I need help guys. I would apperciated. :)

You can get an associates degree in 2 years (4 semesters) but it is tough! Consider doing it over over 3 years (6 semesters). A bachelors degree can be done in 4 years and is not quite as hectic a pace even though it is more course work.

A nice thing about the ADN is that you can get out and start work as an RN. At most institutions there isn't a huge difference in starting pay for new grads (pay differences increase with longevity, and there are more job opportunities for BSNs).

Once you start working as an ADN, go back for your BSN. Most larger institutions have education benefits to help cover school expenses. Also, many nursing organizations have scholarships to help their members go back to school.

About 3yrs.

For an Associate Degree RN License it takes 2 years. You can obtain that at a Junior or Community College. But if you want your Bachelors Degree that will take 4 years. And you would have to go to a University to get that.

It depends on the program and if you have to take any prerequsites. Some are 3 years, some are 2.
