My sister and her friend are graduating from nursing school this friday. After the ceremony they are having a

party. My sister wants me to make a toast. But she called it a speech. Is a toast supposed to be long? What worries me is that I don't know what to say. What should I say?

no, it can't be long -- couple minutes max.
Tell some cute story about how nurses are important and how happy you are that your sis became one.

Or say how she worked hard to get the degree, and now can go on to get a nice job with it.

A toast should only last a minute or so.

It could be as simple as "Congrats..." or as detailed as telling a story about something that's happened to you and your sister (and her friend) since they've been in nursing school.

Always appropriate - "I love you and I'm proud of you"!
